Self-inking stamps have an internal ink sponge that wets the stamp with ink after each use. Over time, the ink in the internal sponge can run low or dry out. Most self-inking stampers can be refilled by accessing the internal ink sponge in the ink well. The procedure for refilling the stamper will vary slightly depending on the individual stamper model, but the basic process is the same for most stampers.
Press the top of the stamper down about 1/4 inch so the lock or release button is visible.
Slide the lock button into the lock position or push in on the lock buttons to lock the stamper into place.
Pull the ink well out until it locks into position. Or, push the button to release the ink pad and push it through until it is fully open.
Drop about six drops of ink onto the stamp pad or ink well. Allow the ink 15 minutes to soak in.
Move the ink pad or sponge back into place. Press down on the stamp to unlock it from the fill position.
