Letter of Resignation

Send a letter of resignation to the Secretary of State.

Records and Papers

Deliver all notarial records and papers to the county clerk where you were originally commissioned within 30 days of the date you want to resign. The address for your particular county clerk&#039;s office can be found online.

Seal

Destroy or deface your seal in accordance with California law.
