Dance ministry is part of the worship portion of some Evangelical Christian churches. The forms of dance can range from group dance to individual interpretive dance, and the dances themselves can be styled after traditional Hebrew or contemporary dance.

Teach Dance

Dance ministry leaders should be able to lead and teach others how to dance by holding practice sessions on a regular basis.

Lead Prayer

Dance ministry leaders should lead their team in prayer corporately and individually.

Scripture

The dance leader should teach the team scripture-based lessons concerning worship and worship lifestyle, taking place during the practice session or separately.

Choreography

The dance ministry leader should be able to map out choreography for new songs and performances; choreography should be modest, but uplifting.

Encouragement

The dance leader will provide encouragement for the dancers by keeping a positive attitude and maintaining a mature Christian perspective.
