Average Salary of a Community Association Manager in Florida
In 2014, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the average community association manager working in Florida earned $54,880 per year. Community association managers are responsible for overseeing the leasing, selling, purchasing and governing of housing communities such as home owner's associations, condominium associations and apartment buildings. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity notes that salaries for community association managers ranged from $15 per hour, or $31,200 yearly for full time-workers, for entry-level positions, to $33.35 per hour, or $69,368 per year, for experienced workers.
Pay Variations by Metropolitan Area
In the Tampa area, according to the BLS, the average community association manager earned $51,040 per year, whereas the average yearly salary in Tallahassee was $58,410. In Miami, the average annual earnings were $53,370. Earnings were lower in Ocala, where the average salary for community association managers was $46,900 per year. Earnings were higher in the Naples-Marco Island area, where the average community association manager earned $64,400 annually.
Pay by Region
According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, salaries were highest in the northeastern region of Florida, where the average community association manager earned $26.32 per hour, which is equal to $54,746 annually for full-time workers. In the southern region, average earnings were $24.43 per hour, or $50,814 per year. Salaries were lowest in the northwestern region, where the average community association manager earned $22.95 per hour, equal to $47,736 annually.

Community association managers working in Florida earned less than those working in neighboring states. According to the BLS, the average yearly wage for community association managers in Alabama was $72,030, while in Georgia, the average community association manager earned $60,030 per year. However, Florida community association managers out-earned those working in Idaho and South Dakota, where the average annual wages were $32,770 and $35,210, respectively.
