To become an Emergency 30-Day substitute teacher in San Diego requires some paperwork and patience. An Emergency 30-Day permit allows the substitute to take over classrooms from preschool to grade 12 on a day-to-day basis. However, a substitute may not serve for a single teacher for more than 30 days. If you’ve never applied to be a substitute before, you'll want to know what specific steps you should take before you can apply.
