Senior enlisted advisors play an important role in the United States military. These individuals supervise and analyze training procedures, facilities and troops in order to create and implement new and more efficient methods and practices.

Duties

Individuals working as senior enlisted advisors are responsible for ensuring the use of established standards and practices, reviewing and supervising the work of noncommissioned officers and administrative staff, and assisting commander in official visits and military-based ceremonies.

Experience

Experiential requirements for senior enlisted advisors consist of five or more years of military work, a vast knowledge of general military training practices and investigations, and previous experience in the field of risk management.

Education

Senior enlisted advisors must have an associate degree in a related field, such as business management, although higher levels of education are generally preferred.

Certification

While it is not a firm requirement, it is preferred that senior enlisted advisors are certified United States army fitness trainers.
