Duties and Responsibilities
Cooks at child care centers plan and prepare meals that meet proper nutritional requirements. They ensure that food is stored and handled properly, and that the kitchen and all its equipment are thoroughly sanitary. They may have to keep logs to track cleaning duties, and may also be responsible for purchasing food and keeping records of those accounts. Those who have staff working under them are responsible for making sure everyone understands their jobs and carries them out.
